Eligibility
Khaldun Scholarship was open to anyone with intellectual curiosity demonstrated through academics or social commitment, and financial need. Applicants with a genuine financial need that might otherwise prevent them from applying to graduate study were encouraged to apply.
What KI offered
- Scholarship for GRE, IELTS/TOEFL, and university application fees.
- Guidance from Khaldun scholars to support the application process.
- Mentorship to help excel in academic and professional careers.
Scholar commitments
- Once financially able, give back to Khaldun an amount at least equal to the scholarship received in order to support new scholars.
- Remain active as peer advisors in the Khaldun Scholars Network.
- Participate in the professional development program organised by KI.
We looked for
- Outstanding candidates, academically and professionally.
- Candidates with demonstrated success in serving their communities.
- Candidates with financial need.
Deadlines
Applications were considered on a rolling basis. Early deadline: Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Final deadline: Friday, September 10, 2021.
A PDF version of the form was published as a reference and preparation aid, but applications had to be submitted through the official Google Form to be eligible.
